Here's the rest of the Shooting outline, covering terrain effects.
1.
Terrain Types & Effects (Shooting)
a.
Bare Hills
i. Use
true line of sight (get down and look) to see if a unit behind a hill is
hidden. Can you see an enemy head, arm, body, or leg?
1.
If not, the hill is LoS-blocking for that unit.
2.
If so...
a.
Can you see the base of the model you wish to target?
i. If
not, the unit will be concealed.
ii. If
so, the unit is not concealed.
ii. Units
on hills have elevated positions and their Awareness range is doubled.
b.
Woods
i. Always
block LoS for models fully within or behind them, if the tallest tree/plant is
taller than the models in the unit.
ii. For
wooded hills, treat the portion of the hill with woods on it as woods with the
elevated position rule, and the portion of the hill that’s not wooded as a bare
hill.
c.
Ruins
i. Always
block LoS for models fully within or behind them, if the tallest part of the
ruin is taller than the models in the unit.
ii. Models
in a ruin are always considered to be Gone-To-Ground. Even if they move.
d.
Buildings
i. Always
block LoS for models fully within or behind them, if the tallest part of the
structure is taller than the models in the unit.
ii. Only
models that have fired out may be targeted at greater than Aw distance.
iii. Models
inside a building are concealed from each other.
e.
Linear Obstacles
i. Concealing
for models behind them.
f.
Bogs/Shallow Water
i. Concealing
for models within them.
That completes the initial outline. At least apart from whatever we do with grenades.
